This issue is resolved: Bas and I looked at the startup problem a while ago and
found that it was caused by two parallel installations of the buildbot software.
The wrong one was mentioned in the autostart scripts.

I created issue865 for the other OS versions.

I don't know if this is the best issue to place this information, but I don't
want the information to get lost. If this is not a good fit for this issue,
perhaps we can open a new wish issue with the infrastructure tag for this.

Information by Felipe Meneguzzi on how to run multiple Mac OS versions on the
same machine, posted to the icaps-council list on November 6, 2018:

==================================================================================
	About multiple machines, it just so happens that I started the process of
compiling FD in Sierra, and once I got it working, I decided to upgrade to
Mojave to see if some other issues with my computer and multiple screens were
sorted out (they did not, but at least it did not break the compilation of FD in
the process).
	Now, as for testing multiple OSX versions, I haven’t tried it myself, but I
understand you can probably use vagrant and virtual box to build VMs for that in
the same physical machine (at the cost of substantial disk space):
https://app.vagrantup.com/AndrewDryga/boxes/vagrant-box-osx/

	I think that, given the desktop flavour of virtually all Mac OS boxes most
people use, supporting just the last, or last two versions of OSX is probably
more than enough.
==================================================================================

I agree with the last sentence, but I think "last two" would be better than
"last", in which case this question comes up.

Hi all, the last activity on this was a while ago. Has it been resolved? If not,
what is the next step?
msg6240 (view) Author: jendrik Date: 2017-04-27.12:08:54
The current status is that the buildbot is running after starting it manually.
However, it still doesn't start automatically when the computer boots. Bas will
look into this and get back to us.

I think the status is that we are waiting for someone on our side to volunteer
to lead this. Once we have a volunteer, we should contact Bas to look into this
together with him.

The Mac buildbot is still inactive. We decided to create an issue for keeping
track of this problem.

If I remember correctly, the last status was that we wanted to ask the admins for
help on this. Is there somebody who's in charge of this? What's the current
status?
