From my side the new-scripts folder can and should be removed. What do you think? Should we add a README that points to the lab package in the "scripts" dir?

I will probably go with the following strategy: Rewrite the scripts in a new reporsitory as we discussed in our meeting. When the rewrite is done I will remove the old new-scripts from the fd repo.
